'Many Species. One Planet. One Future' is a World Environment Day (WED) United nation (UN) theme for 2010, that related with 2010 as International Year of Biodiversity. To celebrate it lets go back to see WED theme from 1976.
Started in 1972 when UN held an environment intercourse in Stockholm, Sweden which later day known as World Environment Day. It is different from Earth Day which is since 1970 celebrates every April 22. Every year, UN making a year theme WED, that is:

From these themes above, we know that the struggle to save earth has been started from 30 years ago. Furthermore, “Global Warming” term which is just booming several years ago has been introduced not less than 15 years ago. Water, uncontrolled development, sea and ocean, trees, and also CO2 are the first choice theme of world struggle saving earth.
